Historically known as the local “bread basket” of the Monterey Peninsula Carmel Valley was also the playground for early California’s version of the “Rich and Famous” such as Stanford, Hopkins, Huntington, Crocker, and many more. If you are feeling adventurous you can also take a stroll down to Carmel River and bask in the warmth while listening to the rushing water.

Looking for a place to stay the night near by? Carmel Valley Lodge is a great option and has all your comfort needs or if you rather, you can drive back towards Carmel a little bit and stay at the famed Bernardus Lodge and Spa and receive the 5 star treatment.
